Gemini Live may speak your language in latest update

Google's AI tool, Gemini Live, is set to expand its capabilities over the coming weeks, most notable of which is greater multilingual support.

Google is set to expand Gemini Live on Android phones to more than 40 languages, as well as deeper integration with Google apps.

Designed to be a conversational assistant, Gemini Live allows users to brainstorm, plan events, explore new topics, and interact with their AI assistant in a more natural, conversational manner. Gemini Live will support conversations in up to two languages on the same device.

The AI will also offer customizable voices—up to 10 distinct tones—giving users a more personalized experience.

Gemini Live can help with tasks such as suggesting jobs, event planning, and learning about various subjects.

Its Extensions feature, which links Gemini with Google services like Gmail, Maps, Calendar, Tasks, and YouTube, will also support more languages. This integration helps users get things done faster by allowing Gemini to pull information from different apps. For example, it can find an email recipe in Gmail, add ingredients to Keep, or check your calendar for scheduling conflicts.

While all of that sounds like good news for people with supported devices, Google has not said whether or not the features will be available in iOS-supported devices.
