Lenovo scores FIFA technology partnership for upcoming World Cup tournaments

Lenovo has been announced as the Official Technology Partner for FIFA, covering both the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the US, Canada, and Mexico and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 in Brazil.

The partnership was revealed during Lenovo’s Tech World innovation event in Seattle, marking the multinational’s entry into FIFA’s top-tier sponsorship category.

In this landmark deal, Lenovo will provide AI-powered technology, devices, and data center infrastructure for the tournaments, with the goal of enhancing fan experiences and supporting global broadcasts.

Lenovo’s solutions, including ThinkPad laptops, Motorola phones, and servers, will power key tournament functions like real-time analytics, stadium tech, and data sharing across football-playing nations.

Lenovo CEO Yuanqing Yang emphasized the company’s role in supporting FIFA’s vision of growing the game globally through technology. FIFA President Gianni Infantino added that Lenovo’s innovations will help create “unparalleled fan experiences” at the upcoming World Cups.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will, for the first time, feature an expanded roster of 48 teams across three host nations—Canada, Mexico, and the US.

The year after, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 will be held in Brazil, with 32 teams participating.
