The medical technology company bought US$88.5 million worth of Bitcoin between January 11 and February 3, 2025, bringing its total holdings to 3,192 BTC at an average purchase price of US$87,854 per unit.
Semler financed the purchases through convertible bonds and by selling shares in Monarch Medical Technologies, paying an average of US$101,616 per Bitcoin for its latest acquisition.
The company’s total Bitcoin investment of US$280.4 million now represents more than half of its US$484.2 million market capitalization.

“We are thrilled with the progress we are making in growing our Bitcoin stockpile,” Eric Semler, chairman of Semler Scientific, said in a press release.
“We were especially pleased with our successful convertible notes offering, which was substantially oversubscribed with investor demand.”
Semler Scientific’s Bitcoin treasury strategy has yielded a 152.2% return since July 2024.
The announcement comes as MicroStrategy, the largest institutional Bitcoin holder with 471,107 BTC, ended its 12-week buying streak this week.
