Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says everyone should get an AI tutor now

Jensen Huang wants everyone to have a personal AI tutor—immediately.

The Nvidia CEO, whose company has helped fuel the AI surge with multiple partnerships and innovations around the globe, believes these digital educators are the key to keeping up with the rapid pace of technological change.

“If there’s one thing I would encourage everybody to do, it’s to go get yourself an AI tutor right away,” Huang said in a video interview with journalist Cleo Abram.

He sees AI as a powerful tool that can democratize learning, offering access to knowledge across subjects in ways never before possible. With AI at their fingertips, Huang believes people should feel empowered—not left behind.

Still, many workers fear AI’s growing role in the workplace. But Huang, who leads a US$3.3 trillion AI chip company, reassured that AI won’t eliminate jobs but rather enhance human capabilities. Like other tech leaders, he envisions a future where AI enables workers rather than replaces them.

“The knowledge of almost any particular field, the barriers to that understanding, have been reduced. I have a personal tutor with me all of the time,” he said.

Huang urged everyone to embrace AI as a tool for learning, reasoning, writing, and problem-solving. He pointed to chatbots like Grok and ChatGPT as the next generation of digital educators.

Addressing concerns about AI taking over human roles, Huang shared his own experience working alongside some of the smartest people—and most advanced AI—in the world.

“I’m surrounded by superhuman people and super intelligence… Yet it never one day caused me to think, all of a sudden, I’m no longer necessary,” he said. Instead, he sees AI as a superpower that boosts human potential rather than diminishes it.

“It actually empowers me and gives me the confidence to tackle more ambitious things,” he added.

“It’s going to empower you. It’s going to make you feel confident.”

Despite this optimism, many workers remain uneasy. A 2023 survey from the Harris Poll found that 40% of US workers familiar with ChatGPT feared it could replace their jobs.

A 2024 report from General Assembly revealed that 62% of Gen Z workers worry AI could take over their roles within the next decade. As AI agents continue to evolve, the workforce of the future may look very different—but Huang believes those who embrace AI will be the ones who thrive.
