Nvidia to establish advanced AI data center in Israel with estimated US$500 million investment

Nvidia has announced plans to build a cutting-edge research and engineering data center in northern Israel, a project valued at over US$500 million, according to Israeli media reports.

Set to open in the first half of 2025, the facility will span 10,000 square meters and feature state-of-the-art AI infrastructure.

Equipped with Nvidia’s liquid-cooled Blackwell systems and other proprietary technologies, the data center will have a power capacity of up to 30 megawatts, making it one of the most powerful facilities of its kind in Israel.

The center will serve as a hub for developing next-generation data center technologies, including networking hardware, CPU design, and AI software, supporting Nvidia’s continued innovation in the AI and data processing sectors.

Nvidia’s expansion in Israel follows its 2020 acquisition of Mellanox Technologies for US$6.9 billion. Since then, the company’s workforce in Israel has more than doubled to over 4,000 employees.

This investment follows Nvidia’s commitment to advancing AI infrastructure and technology while strengthening its foothold in Israel’s burgeoning tech ecosystem.
