Oracle launches AI agents to streamline sales processes

Oracle has unveiled a suite of AI agents designed to assist sales professionals with customer interactions and administrative tasks.

The tools, announced Tuesday, aim to simplify workflows by automating routine and complex tasks, enhancing productivity for sales teams.

This release places Oracle among tech giants like Microsoft and Google, which are prioritizing AI-driven virtual assistants in their strategies. However, Oracle’s approach focuses on specialized, task-specific AI agents tailored for business applications, rather than general-use virtual assistants.

One of the key functions of Oracle’s new agents is updating company records after sales meetings—a task that often burdens sales professionals. More advanced features include a “customer intelligence” agent capable of analyzing data across Oracle’s software ecosystem and producing comprehensive reports for deal negotiations, even when the information spans multiple languages.

For instance, the system can alert a US-based sales team if a repeat customer in another country has experienced shipping delays. This insight allows sales teams to offer strategic concessions during contract renewal discussions.

“Our customers are often global industrial brands you might not recognize—they move rock and produce machinery,” said Rob Pinkerton, Oracle’s Senior Vice President, in an interview.

“The ability to compile data across languages and systems is incredibly useful for sellers navigating complex deals.”

The new AI agents are available immediately and integrated into Oracle’s existing software ecosystem. Notably, Oracle is offering these features at no additional cost, further lowering barriers for businesses looking to adopt AI-driven solutions.
