Read.cv will cease operations this Friday, giving users until May 16 to export their profiles, posts, and other data. The platform’s .cv domain service will transition to Hello.cv starting January 31.
Founded in 2021 by former Facebook product designer Andy Chung, Read.cv offered resume sharing, professional networking, and recruitment tools.
This marks Perplexity’s third acquisition, following deals with AI data connection specialist Carbon and mobile app developer Spellwise. The company has raised over US$500 million in funding and recently enhanced its enterprise features with user management and internal knowledge search capabilities.
“The team is incredibly capable in designing and building consumer and social experiences and we look forward to working with them on many new exciting directions!” said Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas on X.
