Samsung envisions AI-powered phones without settings menu

Samsung is pushing the boundaries of AI integration in smartphones, with their latest reported step being eliminating the need for users to interact with traditional settings menus.

According to reports from South Korean outlet ET News, the company is developing an AI-powered experience that can predict user needs and adjust settings automatically based on usage patterns.

The concept builds on features already present in Samsung devices, such as using Bixby to change settings via voice commands. However, this new AI approach would take away all manual input. Samsung envisions AI that intuitively adapts camera settings, keyboard preferences, and more without user intervention.

It has been apparent that Samsung is keen on pushing out as many advanced AI capabilities as possible in order to differentiate itself in the crowded smartphone market. Earlier this year, the company introduced Galaxy AI features and confirmed it’s exploring new AI-powered form factors combining large screens with enhanced portability.

If successful, Samsung’s new AI-driven system could drastically change the way we use smartphones, making manual settings adjustments a thing of the past.

Let’s just hope there would be failsafes in place for whenever the system thinks it knows us better than we do.
